SIBLING - LONDON FASHION WEEK

So sadly, London Fashion Week is over.

A/W Fashion Week, especially in London is one of my favourite week’s of the year (the other being S/S Fashion Week).

This year I had the amazing opportunity to view one of the biggest brands from London Fashion Week – Sibling. Thanks to the Sunglasses Hut, I had the chance to attend Day 2 and view the SIBLING catwalk show.

SIBLING is a collaboration between Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery.

Sibling’s latest collection featured sheer skin tight body suits, coloured tinsel and LOTS and lots of sequins. Their latest collection contained major influences from 1980’s - they aimed to present “daytime disco.” The iconic Grace Jones hugely influenced their new collection – the singer was a renowned performer and was huge on the disco scene during the 1980s.

The designers aimed to bring “a bit of sparkle” and they certainly delivered.  Their collection included lace cat suits, knitted lace playsuits, a tinsel wrapped plunge neckline hood (INCREDIBLE -  I know), chunky knits and a show stopping oversized knitted pair of headphones. My favourite piece within the collection had to be the low cutline neck garment, featuring a hooded tinsel wrap around the head - the chunky purple knit and purple sequins are breathtaking.

The Catwalk show took place at Brewer Street Car Park in Soho – the head to toe knitwear show was just amazing. Sibling displayed an outstanding collection this year,  I was so lucky and blessed with the opportunity to view their catwalk show.

THE REPETITION OF LILAC AND BLUE COLOURS WITHIN THE COLLECTION IS TO COMPLEMENT THE HUES OF JONES' 1977 PORTFOLIO ALBUM.
" The lilac Party Girl cardigan with hand - sewn sequin trims ... alongside hooded fine united lace playsuit - these being perhaps the most Jones pieces" SIBLING.
